Hamachi Warcraft III (DotA) Fix

A few people we've tried to play DotA over Hamachi with lately have not been able to join our games. Hamachi used to work brilliantly but for a while now it has been troublesome. Often we cannot not get game clients to see any remote game servers; the list of LAN games is simply blank. Firewalls are checked, tears are shed, and we go our separate ways.

I took the time to investigate and found a fix that seems to work for 1.0.2.2 Hamachi and 1.21 Warcraft III.

-- SNIP OLD SOLUTION! --

I just followed the instructions here. All of them, including rebooting.

If/when you have time, try undoing those changes I suggested, and instead following the ones in the new link I posted above.

These are the official instructions on getting games to work under Hamachi.

AND IT WORKS!
Sweet DOTA fun!

I'll have to install Hamachi onto Ruanne's laptop too...

Re: AND IT WORKS!
Finally. :) Phew. This is how it used to be with Hamachi, before the great sundering.

It should work for most other games, too. So any time you feel like playing, uh... um... other games? What were those again? ;)
